Pallet trucks are for moving pallets from one place to another. Pallet trucks not only make transportation of pallets easier but also ease loading and unloading while ensuring utmost safety. They can minimize time of transport considerably. Since the pallets can be rather heavy, pallet trucks need to be very strong and functional. Pallet trucks are generally used in industries like chemical and pharmaceutical factories, warehouses, food storage industries, retail stores, and others. Most pallet trucks can move loads of around 4,000 lbs.
Pallet trucks are being designed to suit all kinds of environments and terrains, including highly corrosive and unsanitary conditions. Some pallet trucks are being made from zinc, and stainless steel, and some are chrome coated and galvanized to resist even highly moist atmosphere like pharmaceutical and chemical factories. These are suitable for clean room, laboratory, wash down, and corrosive material handling applications.
There are different types of pallet trucks: low-profile pallet trucks, pallet trucks with scale (for weighing the load), big-wheeler pallet truck (for uneven floors and heavy loads), specialty pallet trucks (made of zinc or stainless steel for unsanitary environments), wheel-nose pallet trucks (for placing pallets closely in a row), ergonomic pallet trucks (for ease of operation), economic pallet trucks, “”Freight Saver”" pallet trucks, all-terrain pallet trucks (for any kind of terrain), foldable manual pallet trucks (light-duty trucks especially beneficial for going down narrow aisles, through doorways, or around tight corners), electric pallet trucks (with AC drive motor, battery pack, and regenerative braking system), and so on.
Some pallet trucks also have adjustable push rods, a wide turning radius, skin adaptors, and integral scales. There are some highly advanced pallet trucks that even contain a printer, LCD display, and a keypad with automatic tare functions that works on rechargeable batteries.
Used pallet trucks are also available. Pallet trucks can be ordered and bought online at exclusive manufacturer websites. The internet is a good source for information about pallet trucks.
Pallets provides detailed information about pallets, pallet racks, pallet rack systems, pallet trucks and more. Pallets is the sister site of Roller Conveyors.

It has been said that everyone has something to give. Something that can be shared with their fellow human beings over and over again. Something whose supply is never depleated, but constantly replenished as it is given away.
And it costs nothing to give.
What could that be? Remember that you must phrase your answer in the form of a question.
I hope you all got it. It’s as simple as falling off a log.
It is a SMILE.
Did you know there are fewer facial muscles used with less energy expended in the formation of a smile than there is in the forcing of a frown?
A warm, sincere smile, genuinely shared almost always results in the spontaneous eruption of more smiles in it’s immediate surroundings.
Once given, smiles can travel for miles and miles without significant interruption.
And smiles con even be passed along while sight unseen, through the sharing of heart-felt thoughts and wishes by various media.
A smile is a very powerful tool with a very powerful effect. Realize fully that power within you. Realize fully the force for good that you hold within you that you may share at will as often and generously as you choose.
The choice is yours. And you often receive in return more than you could ever hope to give!

Success is an aim which is hard to reach, but not impossible to.
One common thread that runs along success stories is that
successful people observe great discipline on themselves on
their way to the top plus also their foresight. Common among
successful people are also goals and their habit of not leaving
other aspects of their lives behind.
Despite these characteristics, successful people, like most
other people, are no strangers to failure. Even after learning
the tips on what things to do or remember to achieve success,
people still stumble on which things not to do to achieve
success. Herewith is a list of things successful people do not
do which other people should not do as well in order to reach
success:
For achieving goals, here are some points people should never
stumble upon on their way to success:
>Having no plan at all. Setting goals is just the easy part,
some people see the ends they want to meet but cannot see the
way through them. It is important to consider the resources one
will need and back-up plans should plan A fail.
>Cramming one’s mind with so many things at once. Start small.
Take it one step at a time. Build up small habits to enhance
self-confidence and then pick up speed then on.
>Being vague about plans. Try to be more specific. As in
exercise, instead of saying “I’ll do some work-out next year.”
Try saying “For the whole year net year, I’ll exercise twice a
week.” or something to that effect. Point is, seal your plans
from wiggle-out spaces. Also refrain from absolute statements
containing “never” and “always”.
>Fooling one’s self. Keep track of progress in a journal or
checklist. Sometimes memory becomes really selective and
remembers activities never done and forgets about little
failures.
>Beating one’s self up. A pat on the back for things done well
can mean a lot of encouragement to push through. Do not think
too much about the mistakes committed. Learn from them and then
move on forward.
>Expecting things to work perfectly as planned. Leave room for
failure. Follow the cliche “try and try until you succeed”. If
things do not go well the first try, step up and do it again.
With a little faith it can be done.
While in the business, here are some pitfalls to avoid:
>Being content with mediocrity. Asserting one’s edge or trait
differentiates one from the rest.. Another bonus from this is
that you can ask for higher incentives for the marginal benefits
that you offer.
>Underestimating one’s worth. Determine the price so that it is
both competitive and appropriate. Be cautious about the
implications of having too high a price or too low. A price too
high drives away customers and a price too low may make clients
think twice about the quality of the product or service.
>Failing to make one’s business accessible to potential clients.
Best forms of marketing are via word-of-mouth and referrals. Try
to penetrate these media of advertising. They are cheap yet
highly effective.
>Becoming a workaholic. It is not advisable for one to burn
himself out with work. One should never abandon his health and
his life altogether. He may become successful professionally but
a total loser in the other aspects of his life. Try to socialize
with officemates or colleagues. It is recommended for a person
to engage in a healthy recreational activity once in a while to
relieve stress brought about by his job.
>Being content with stacked knowledge. For one to succeed, it is
important to always be willing to learn. This is important
especially in the field of technology where everything is
changing at a very rapid pace. It is important to be up to date
with the latest trends, programs and gadgets so that one can
deliver well to his clients. Try attending seminars and
workshops to keep abreast with the latest trends in your field
of work.
> Finally, failing to enjoy one’s work. Personal satisfaction at
work is as important as workmanship itself. Personal
satisfaction can serve as the well of enthusiasm for a person,
ensuring that he only rarely, if not never, loses his momentum
at work. Personal satisfaction also keeps a person from draining
out of energy to enable him to do other things after work.

The popular rottweiler breed has seen some of it members become quite famous. This ranges from comic books to movies and onwards. Here is a look at a few of the rottweilers that made into the halls of fame.
We start in the world of cartoon movies and find Scout, the rottweiler pet of Professor Shepherd in the action adventure and comedy cartoon called Road Rovers. Through a rather failed experiment the rottweiler Scout is transformed into Muzzle, a quite mad and foaming character that is mostly kept in a mask and strait jacket. Occassionally he is set free as a last resort when the Road Rovers are in real trouble and this usually turns out to the advantage of the good. Perhaps this rottweiler character has contributed to some people being scared of this breed of dogs.
In the realm of childrens books resides another famous rottweilers, Good Dog Carl. In a series of worldess childrens books the images of Carl the rottweiler entertains children of all ages. These books, 13 in total, and especially the board book version, have become immensly popular. The illustrations were brought to life by Alexandra Day.
On the big screen we find for example Snot, a rottweiler who starred, or at least took part, in the movie National Lampoons Christmas Vacation from 1989. The movie was one in a series and received mixed reviews though it is probably hard to find a critic that had anything negative to say about the rottweilers performance in the movie.
In real life there is Missy, the rottweiler of the english soul singer Joss Stone, born as Joscelyn Eve Stoker. Many rottweilers would probably be jeaulos of this one as her owner was recently voted Dog Owner of the Year. Along with Missy she also owns a poodle, Dusty, named after singer Springfield one the major influences for Joss.
Returning to the world of cartoons we find another rottweiler that may have contributed to the image that some carry of this breed as a wild beast. Punisher, a Marvel anti-hero, used to have a pet rottweiler called Max, which he saved from the animal pouchers.
Last, but not least, amongst the famous rottweilers lets mention Dracula. Owned by the heavy metal vocalist and musician Phil Anselmo, who is probably best know for vocals and lyrics with the now defunct Pantera band.
These were a few of the rottweilers of fame. There are surely more and surely more will come as this great dog continues to live amongst us.
Kari Eriksson is an infopreneur and a dog lover since many years. Lately Rottweilers have become a special interest and he operates The Rottweiler Directory at http://www.rottweilerdirectory.com alongsides with http://www.rottweilers-online.com where you can find articles, links and useful resources.

A Christian friend came over asking that several of us pray for her. Despite doing all the “right” Christian things, she had been entertaining doubts about her faith.
In the course of our prayer, as I was reminding her of what Scripture says about how God sees her, in a gruff tone of voice, with furrowed brow, she scolded me, speaking in the third person, “She doesn’t deserve it! She doesn’t deserve it!” In a couple of hours, by the Power of the Holy Spirit, she was free from demonic bondage with a total change of countenance and has, since then, moved forward with marriage and ministry.
On an Easter Sunday morning, as I was attending a Baptist church service, a man sat praying, head bowed, as the congregation headed for the exits. I approached him and asked if I might pray. He ignored me. I laid my hand on his shoulder to pray. The moment I touched him, he bolted upright, began swaying like a cobra about to strike, and started growling as he pointed, “I hate him! I hate her! I hate this church!”
My attempts to minister were interrupted by well-meaning people asking if he needed medication or asking if they should call an ambulance. When the man became unable to open his mouth to speak, I commanded the spirit to release his tongue. Instantly, he was able to understand me then and speak intelligibly in response to me. I told him I was available for further ministry by the Holy Spirit but it was obvious there was no faith present to deliver him at that moment. I made him aware that, until he got help, this WAS his Christian life and he WOULD experience these manifestations again. I left only to be bombarded with questions throughout the week by those who were there.
The young man, it turned out, was a much-beloved seminarian.
Last week, as a group of us were praying, the Holy Spirit showed me a vision of a new attendee standing with tears in her eyes, in the middle of a Civil War battlefield, dressed in a Confederate soldier’s uniform, looking at her spouse, dressed in Union blue. As I shared this vision after our prayer time, the woman buried her face in her hands and cried. Her close friend nudged me and whispered, “You read her mail.”
On another occasion, a Christian business woman contacted me requesting prayer over one of her many facilities across Texas. This particular facility was not prospering at all and she could not help but consider closing its doors. That particular location had an openly lesbian manager which attracted openly gay employees. I went on a Thursday night with ateam. She met us there. We prayed and, within ten days, the facility’s numbers were improving already. The lesbian manager couldn’t understand it. In a memo I saw, she wrote, “We must be living right.” A week ago, the manager resigned as did several of the most blatantly gay employees.
I could write many personal encounters like these, moments when the Holy Spirit took control, flushed out an unsuspecting demon, healed, delivered, set free or came through with a vision, word of wisdom or word of knowledge. He is no respecter of persons; the gifts He has shared with me, He wants to share with you.
Question is, are you willing? Do you desire more?
WE ARE SPIRIT BEINGS HAVING AN EARTHLY EXPERIENCE. WE ARE ALIENS.
We have no permanent citizenship in this world. Though we are citizens of the United States, the reality is that, as a Christian, our citizenship is in Heaven (Phil 3:20). As the book of Hebrews says, “Here we have no lasting city, but we seek the city which is to come” (Heb. 13:14) For we are strangers before thee, and sojourners, as were all our fathers: our days on the earth are as a shadow, and there is none abiding. (1 Chron 29;15)
WE ARE ENAGED IN A SPIRITUAL WAR - a term not found in Scripture, but the concept is taught. Mankind is caught in the midst of a spiritual war with the holy God and His angels on one side and the evil Satan and his demons on the other.
(2 Cor 10:3-5) “For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”
(Eph 6:11-12) Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
(Rev 12:7-8) And there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. The great dragon was hurled down–that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.
IF WE RESIST THE DEVIL, HE WILL FLEE
(James 4: 7) Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
WE DO NOT HAVE THE POWER TO RESIST SATAN ON OUR OWN
(Jude 9) But even the archangel Michael, when he was disputing with the devil about the body of Moses, did not dare to bring a slanderous accusation against him, but said, “The Lord rebuke you!”
TO RESIST THE DEVIL, WE MUST PUT ON THE FULL ARMOR OF GOD
(Eph 6:10-12) Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.
Jesus’ own mission statement: “He hath sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening [of the prison] to them that are bound; to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.” (Isa 61:1,2)
GOD ALLOWS TEMPTATIONS, BUT ALWAYS PROVIDES AN ESCAPE
(1 Cor 10:13) No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.
SATAN KNOWS THE SCRIPTURES AND TRIES TO MISUSE THEM
As described in Matt 4:3-10 and Luke 4:3-12, during the temptation of Jesus in the wilderness, Satan quoted Him Scripture several times. Jesus replied each time with additional Scriptures refuting Satan’s attempts to take things out of context or only use part of a section.
(Matt 28:19-20, Lk 9:1-2 and 10:1-3).
Too many American Christians have become passive and fearful. Others are satisfied to merely acknowledge the right things and attend church services and activities. This type of lifestyle is quite different from that which Jesus requires of His followers.
We must preach and teach about the kingdom of God, focus on the doctrine of Christ, heal the sick and set the captives free.
Why is the Holy Spirit referred to as being “holy”?(HOLY: Belonging to, derived from, or associated with a divine power; sacred.) Distinguishes Him from EVIL spirits.
SAD FACTS REGARDING THE CHURCH AND THE HOLY SPIRIT
A majority (61%) agree that the Holy Spirit is a symbol of God’s presence or power but is not a living entity. (2001)
Among the segments of the population more likely than others to deny the existence of the Holy Spirit as a living entity are Catholics (73%), non-Christians (68%), and non-whites (68%). (2001)
A majority of all born again Christians reject the existence of the Holy Spirit (52%). (2001)
WHY IS THE HOLY SPIRIT IMPORTANT?
There is no subject more important in Christianity than that of the Holy Spirit. Unless this is properly understood, a large portion of the Bible, and especially the NT, remains unintelligible. On the other hand, a just view of it will do more than a knowledge of any other particular topic to give harmony, clearness, and consistency to what may be learned to all other matters presented in the Word of God.
Despite the importance of knowing the Holy Spirit and His place in the life of a Christian, there is much confusion and superstition in the minds of many people about the Holy Spirit
WHO IS THE HOLY SPIRIT?
1. A person with characteristics
2. NOT, merely an “influence”, or “impersonal force” that emanates from God.
3. We should regard the Holy Spirit as a “He”, not an “it”!
I. THE HOLY SPIRIT’S PERSONALITY
A. THE HOLY SPIRIT SPEAKS…
1. He “expressly says” that some will depart from the faith - 1 Tim 4:1
2. The Spirit spoke and gave directions to Philip - Acts 8:29
3. He spoke to Peter and gave him charge concerning the Gentiles - Acts 10:19-20
4. He spoke to the brethren at Antioch concerning Paul and Barnabas - Acts 13:1-4
B. THE HOLY SPIRIT TEACHES…
1. He was to teach the apostles all things - Jn 14:26
2. Please note that Jesus consistently refers to the Holy Spirit as “He”, not “it” (implying a personal being, not an impersonal force) - Jn 14:16-17
C. THE HOLY SPIRIT BEARS WITNESS…
1. He was to testify of Jesus - Jn 15:26-27
2. Just as the apostles (who were “personal beings”) would bear witness, so also the Holy Spirit
D. THE HOLY SPIRIT GUIDES, HEARS, SPEAKS, TELLS…
1. He would carry on and complete the work started by Jesus - Jn 16:12-13
2. Jesus consistently refers to the Holy Spirit as “He”
The Holy Spirit is a real person who came to reside within Jesus Christ’s true followers after Jesus rose from the dead and ascended to heaven (Acts 2). Jesus told His apostles…
“I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not behold Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you, and will be in you. I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.” (Jn 14:16-18)
The Holy Spirit is not a vague, ethereal shadow, nor an impersonal force. He is a person equal in every way with God the Father and God the Son. He is considered to be the third member of the Godhead. Jesus said to His apostles…
“All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (Matt 28:18-20)
God is Father, Son and Holy Spirit. And all the divine attributes ascribed to the Father and the Son are equally ascribed to the Holy Spirit. When a person becomes born again by believing and receiving Jesus Christ (Jn 1:12-13; Jn 3:3-21), God resides in that person through the Holy Spirit (1Cor 3:16).
E. THE HOLY SPIRIT’S PRIMARY ROLE
1. He bears “witness” of Jesus Christ and tells people’s hearts about the truth of Jesus Christ. (Jn 15:26, 16:14).
2. He acts as a Christian’s teacher/guide (1Cor. 2:9-14).
3. He reveals God’s will and God’s truth to a Christian. Jesus told His disciples…
“The Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.” (Jn 14:26)
“When He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come.” (Jn 16:13)
4. The Holy Spirit was given to live inside those who believe in Jesus, in order to produce God’s character in the life of a believer. In a way that we cannot do on our own, the Holy Spirit will build into our lives love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control (Gal 5:22-23). Rather than trying to be loving, patient, kind, God asks us to rely on Him to produce these qualities in our lives. Thus Christians are told to walk in the Spirit (Gal 5:25) and be filled with the Spirit (Eph 5:18).
5. The Holy Spirit empowers Christians to perform ministerial duties that promote spiritual growth among Christians (Rom 12; 1Cor 12; Eph 4).
6. The Holy Spirit also performs a function for non-Christians as well. He convicts people’s hearts of God’s truth concerning how sinful we are — needing God’s forgiveness; how righteous Jesus is — He died in our place, for our sins; and God’s eventual judgment of the world and those who do not know Him (Jn 16:8-11). The Holy Spirit tugs on our hearts and minds, asking us to repent and turn to God for forgiveness and a new life.
F. THE HOLY SPIRIT FORBIDS…
1. He prevented Paul and his companions from going into certain areas of Asia - Acts 16:6-7 This He did by “forbidding” them, and “not permitting” them, despite their initial efforts
G. THE HOLY SPIRIT INTERCEDES…
1. The “Spirit Himself (note Paul’s use of the personal pronoun) makes intercession for us” - Rom 8:26
2. Just as Christ “also makes intercession for us” - Rom 8:34 [All these works of the Holy Spirit manifest personality]
II. THE HOLY SPIRIT POSSESSES PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS
A. HE HAS A MIND…
1. “the mind of the Spirit” - Rom 8:27 This suggests thinking on His own.
B. HE HAS KNOWLEDGE…
1. He “knows the things of God” - 1 Cor 2:11 just as the “spirit of man” (a personal being) knows certain things. He has intellect.
C. HE POSSESSES AFFECTION…
1. Paul speaks of “the love of the Spirit” - Rom 15:30 When have you known of an “impersonal force” that could love? He has emotion.
D. HE HAS A WILL…
1. “the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills” - 1 Cor 12:11 It was the Holy Spirit Who decided what person received which gift. Again, these are all characteristics of a being possessing intelligence and personality.
III. THE HOLY SPIRIT SUFFERS PERSONAL SLIGHTS AND INJURIES
A. HE CAN BE GRIEVED…
1. “do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God” - Eph 4:30 He can be made sorrowful through our willful neglect
B. HE CAN BE BLASPHEMED…
1. That is, to be spoken evil of, as in attributing His deeds to the works of Satan, the “unpardonable sin” - Matt 12:31-32
C. HE CAN BE INSULTED…
1. One who has “trampled the Son of God underfoot” has also “insulted the Spirit of grace” - Heb 10:29 This is done by sinning “willfully” - Heb 10:26
D. HE CAN BE LIED TO…
1. As Ananias and his wife Sapphira were guilty of doing. Acts 5:3: “…why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit…?”
E. HE CAN BE RESISTED…
1. As Stephen charged the Jewish leaders of doing - Acts 7:51 This they did by resisting the message and persecuting the messengers who were inspired by the Holy Spirit. Acts 7: 52-53
In my opinion, much too great an emphasis has been placed on the gift of tongues - so much so that an ungodly caste system of the haves and have-not’s has developed in some groups - despite the promise of Scripture that you shall receive POWER (NOT tongues) when the Spirit comes upon you; power to be a witness (literally, a martyr). Request my study entitled “Speaking of speaking in tongues.”

The benefit of exercise during pregnancy not only will make your baby delivery easy, but also can combat fatigue, minimize back pain because your back muscles will be stronger, stress relief, reducing fat, and recover more quickly after delivery. Exercise can help you strengthen your muscles, which makes labor easier. Further, exercise helps you get your stamina and energy levels upwhich will be necessary once baby arrives.
There are some forms of activity that are better than others during pregnancy. Certain exercises can help promote physical fitness and are less likely to result in injury. Among the best exercises for pregnant moms include: walking, swimming, stretching, yoga, dancing, stationary cycling, and low impact prenatal aerobics.
Walking is great exercise that will not cause you to over exert yourself. You can take a brisk walk through a scenic park or even around a shopping mall. Of course, you should also drink plenty of water and stay well-hydrated, especially if you are walking outdoors or in humid areas. And never go into woods or desolate areas alone.
Swimming is also one of the favorite exercises for pregnant women. You might also enroll in a water aerobics class, which is relaxing and can also prepare you for labor. Just don’t get into any hot tubsthat’s not good for you or the baby.
It is essential, however, that you do not indulge in any contact sports or activities that could pose a risk to your or your baby. For example, if you belong to a soccer team, you may need to suspend your play until after the baby is born. You do not want to risk falling down or having someone else land on you by accident. The risks, in this case, are greater than the benefits.
Additionally, if you are used to exercising, it will make it all the easier to lose your baby weight after the birth of your child. You should not concern yourself with following a rigorous exercise plan or a strict diet during your pregnancy. Regular, mild exercise is sufficient. Plus, you need plenty of fruits, vegetables, grains, red meats and poultry in your daily diet during the pregnancy.
Still, there are plenty of fun, safe activities that will allow you to get some needed physical activity without all the risks. So, get moving!

We all know that online blackjack is probably the most famous online casino game in the Internet. There are a lot of online casino players who would choose blackjack rather than any kind of online gambling. Mainly because of its game rules which are easy to adhere because almost all websites have the same set of rules. There have also been a lot of useful tips and blackjack strategies to let you tilt the winning scale of blackjack in your direction. A wise blackjack player would always look for the best strategy and tricks to make him the master of his own game cards. It would take practice and times of plays in blackjack before one could actually master the ways of hitting the jackpot. The basic strategy to blackjack is to have the best hand card which would form a value card of 21 or the highest value card not greater than 21. A winning card of 21 is basically composed of an Ace and any Face card (King, Queen, Jack). That is why it is called BLACKJACK since the early times. An Ace Card could have a value of 1 or 11 while the Face cards have values of 10. There are common terms which are used in Blackjack, some of these are: HIT (where the player draws one or another card), STAND (where he stops drawing cards and have decided his cards are good), and SURRENDER (where the player thinks it would be best to stop the game than lose all his bets). Today, there are situations when we actually add a “middle person” instead of eliminating one for increased service efficiency. If it’s cost-effective and demand is high, then proper market positioning will make it a worthwhile endeavor. For example, my sister just informed me of a food delivery service in New Mexico that will let you choose one out of many different food outlets (all types of ethnic/fast food)- and then guarantees delivery within a specific time period. This not only gives the customer assurance of reliability, but more choices for dining take -out style.
In other areas of industry, the same idea holds true. There are electrical suppliers that no longer manufacture the product of electricity, but now are involved only in the delivery process of electricity to the customers. Because of market fluctuations, the new delivery supplier will utilize many other different energy suppliers to get the product of electricity to the customer efficiently and at the best market price. Again, adding the middle man seems to benefit all around.
In relating this theory to restaurants, it is the food runner that has become popular, especially in the larger dining establishments that rarely existed years ago. Food runners are employees who only work the rush hours of the dining room- only running food back and forth from the kitchen to the tables with light dining room table interaction (condiments, fresh pepper etc.). It is a 2-4 hr. shift, depending on how long the dining rush lasts.
Before large restaurants existed, the waiter would complete the process of order taking and delivering of the food. Today, the food runner can be implemented (additional middle man) relieving the waiter of this time consuming and sometimes painstaking process. The waiter must share a percentage of his tip with the runner, but in return his job is eased because the food is delivered for him- allowing extra time to work more tables and up sell to customers thereby increasing sales. Though, it does remain the waiter’s responsibility to check the table for additional diner needs– either while the food is being placed by the runner or shortly thereafter. The tip-out to the runner is usually 10-15% depending on the service system, but well worth it if waiter sales can increase by 20-30 %.
The main point is the food runner addition improves delivery service efficiency while being cost-effective (if the sales increase outweighs the payroll increase). Properly integrating employees into the dining room with exact middle man connections always makes for smooth service flow. It’s not a matter of just blindly throwing extra employees at a service problem, but organizing the best system possible with the minimal amount of labor.
Adding the middle man can sometimes streamline operations in such way that it becomes irresistible and impossible to ignore. Always, the demand arises when delivery routes of a service system become overloaded.

As simple as this sounds, 99% of all the business owners in the
country just plain don’t know how to design and write good
advertisements. And that includes most of the biggest companies
in business. If you have any intentions of operating a business
of any kind, learning how to write advertising copy is the most
important thing you must do. It quite literally will make or
break your business. It is the difference between just barely
hanging on, and profiting wildly. I don’t how to tell you how
important this really is. Looking back over everything that I
have learned about making money, without a doubt, the one thing
that has brought me the greatest amount of success, is knowing
how to write powerful advertising copy. It really is, by far,
the greatest money making skill I possess. I will gladly teach
you what I know about writing advertising copy. We’ll get to
that a little later in this manual. For instance, just recently
I ran a small advertisement in our local newspaper. It’s not a
big paper, only about 60,000 readers. The ad was 2 columns by 3″
inches. At $38.25 per column inch the ad cost me $229.50 to run
it just one time. It brought in over $4,000.00. That’s 17 times
cost! I challenge you to clip any ad out of your local paper,
contact the merchant that ran the ad, ask him or her how much it
cost to run the ad, and then ask them if it brought in 17 times
that amount. If you can find a merchant that reports their ad is
pulling at even 5 times cost I’d love to see the ad, because the
truth is most advertisers are happy if their ad breaks even.
They figure that as long as they recover what they invest in
running the ad, the exposure they get makes it worth while.
Although that may be true, what would you do if you had an ad
that actually earned $2,000. profit every time you ran it? You
would run it as often as you could, as long as it continued to
make money, right? This is where business owners everywhere are
killing themselves. Early on when their business is new they
test different methods of advertising, if they are really lucky
they get favorable results and will continue to advertise. But
in many cases they don’t, and they convince themselves that
their business is not like other types of businesses, and
newspaper advertising really won’t work for them, and they never
bother to test newspaper advertising again. It doesn’t matter
whether you advertise in newspapers, magazines, on billboards,
or on the internet, the difference between your ad making really
good money and being a total flop lies in how the ad is written.
What offer are you advertising? Does the prospect understand
what the offer is? Did the prospect even see your ad? Did you
tell the prospect exactly how to buy? Each of these elements,
plus a number of others determine how well your ad will pull.
Many businesses survive for years and years, and the owner
manages to squeak out a living, but how well would they do if
they really and truly put forth a major effort to learn how to
really write powerful ads. I can assure you the difference would
be unbelievable. That’s the problem. So unbelievable that most
business owners just don’t believe that it will make even a
small difference let alone a major difference. They are so, so
wrong! Learn how to write powerful advertisements and you will
prosper for the rest of your life!
