Most businesses consist of the owner only or the owner and a few employees. The owner continues to do the same activity whether it is labor or crew management for many years. He gets into the”comfort zone” or “rut” and does the same thing day in and day out.
You need to put your time and energies into growing your lawn business or landscape business. This needs to be directed toward advertising, marketing, or other services.
Good employees are needed to run the daily activities of a lawn business.The things you are doing now.Filling your labor or management position is crucial for your continued growth.
Some people tell me that it’s tough or scary to let the employees run a large part of the business.
Yes, it may be uncomfortable but you need to ask yourself “Do I want to be doing the same activity in my business 5, 10, or 15 years from now?” If you do that’s fine.
So what we have are 2 choices
1. Do the same activity in your business years from now that you are doing today
2. Put some major responsibility on the eployees and GROW your business.
Number 2 is not easy and can be difficult and stressful.
You have to, have to, have to think about the FUTURE and the end result.
Your business should not become dependent on you. Additionally, I’ve seen many employees actually do a better job in the position the owner gave up than the owner.
The owner should spend time
1) Advertising
2) Marketing
3) Making the business more profitable
4) Building relationships w/ customers
5) Internet and website6) Adding additional services
Write a plan and clear objective of how to make a successful lawnbusiness run without you.
Don’t just turn your employees lose and say go get em.Make sure they all know their job. Everything will work much smoother thisway.
Give employees titles and certain responsibilities, and hold them accountable. Titles can make employees feel wanted and appreciated. When they do something good, acknowledge it and praise them. If they screw up, introduce them to a better way to avoid the problem the next time. Encourage them to ask questions.Tell them there are no stupid questions just stupid mistakes.
You must listen to their needs not just hear what they are saying. Ask them occasionally, “Do you see any areas that can be improved upon or do you have any suggestions to make the business run smoother?” Ask them about the chemistry of the crew such as “Is there someone here slowing the crew down or is a disruption to the performance?”
We talked about the comfort zone earlier. I want to share with a short story..
There was a native tribe in South America who had been dying prematurely from a strange sickness for many generations.Scientists were sent in to find out the cause of the strange disease. It was finally discovered that the disease was caused by the bite of an insect, which lives in the walls of their homes.The natives had several options:
(a) They can destroy the insects with insecticides
(b) They can destroy and rebuild their homes
(c) They can move to another location where there are no such insects
(d) They can continue to live at the same place and die early, as they had been doing for generations.
The saddest thing is that they chose to remain as they were and died early.
THE POINT IS- It is sad that most people have fear and don’t like change. They are comfortable with what they are, where they are, and they would rather die than change. The comfort zone is a dangerous place to be in, and you may not even realize that you are in it.
You have all this money invested in equipment and if you are doing the same activity in the business that you really aren’t happy doing, you have actually “Bought Yourself a Job.” Please don’t make that mistake.

Fax cartridges and fax rolls of paper are very common in the
workplace today. We hardly even think about it before we tell
someone to “fax that over to me”. Faxes make life so much easier
for us than in the past when things had to be mailed back and
forth through the postal system.
The fax machine was actually invented long ago. Alexander Bain
invented the fax machine in 1843 and received a patent. He was a
Scottish mechanic and his idea was an off-shoot of Samuel
Morse’s invention of the telegraph. In 1902, Dr. Arthur Korn
made improvements to the machine adding the photoelectric system
to the idea. AT&T worked to improve the technology and in 1924
created a means of transmitting pictures for newspapers over
long distances. In 1955, the first fax transmission across the
continent occurred. Since then, there has been amazing progress.
Today’s fax machines, fax cartridges and fax rolls are
inexpensive enough that just about every office and many homes
have this capability. These automated machines are small, easy
to use and affordable to purchase and operate.
Fax cartridges contain the toners which bonds to the fax roll
paper using an electrostatic process. The transmission comes
over the telephone line, audible to humans as a bunch of beeps
and buzzes. The fax understands how these signals mean for the
toner to be affixed to the paper to provide the exact image as
the document being faxed over.
Fax paper rolls are a special type of paper that allows the
toner to bond properly. The paper feels somewhat slick to the
touch. One fax roll will produce many faxes.

obtain another refurbished cartridge.
Fax machines which use fax cartridges and fax rolls have become
so inexpensive today. Many business contracts are signed and
processed via the fax machine. Some of the biggest deals in

Roasting Coffees at home is a passion with many coffee
aficionados, and there are even societies, special interest
groups and online mailing lists dedicated to this hobby. But
with so many options for pre-roasted, pre-packaged supermarket
variety coffee, why would anyone in their right minds want to
take the trouble of doing it all themselves?
First, with a little practice you can soon learn to do it just
right, to perfectly suit your taste buds. Secondly, you know
exactly what goes into your coffee, without needing to depend
upon the small print on shrink-wraps. Thirdly, there is of
course the satisfaction of being able to roast good coffee
yourself, and enjoy the rich taste of a pure home brew. Finally,
there’s the fact that green coffee beans cost about half the
roasted variety. Even if you decide to buy dedicated equipment
like a coffee popper instead of using the good old-fashioned gas
oven, you can soon recover the hardware costs with Roasting
Coffees at home.
Choosing the right beans is a very important step. There are
numerous varieties of green coffee beans available; you need to
read up a little and also experiment with different kinds before
determining what’s good for you. How much relative importance
you attach to the smoothness, thickness, weight, flavor,
complexity or body of your coffee will be the factor behind your
choice. For Roasting Coffees at home, always buy Arabica beans
rather than Robusta. Arabica, though costlier, is certainly more
savoury, and has more richness and complexity.
Depending on whether you prefer a bright, acidy taste or a
full-bodied flavor, vary the roasting temperature of your gas
oven. Preheat a perforated pan to between 500 and 540 degrees
Fahrenheit. Lower temperatures will yield more body, while the
higher range tends to produce coffee with more pungency,
brightness and acidity. Buying some sample roasted beans of your
favourite flavor is good for comparison study in the early
stages of your home coffee roasting.
Arrange the beans one-layer deep on the pan and insert in the
oven. In about 7 to 10 minutes after you begin the coffee
roasting, you should begin to hear the beans popping. Starting 2
or 3 minutes after that, keep peeping in every minute or so, to
find out whether the beans are approaching the colour and
texture of your sample variety. You’ll see that coffee beans
nearly double in size during the process, and develop an oily,
dark texture.
Conventional wisdom has it that you need to wait for at least 4
hours (and up to a day) after coffee roasting, before you can
grind and enjoy your drink. However, fresh roasted coffee
directly from the oven is also delicious. Use a conical burr
grinder for grinding if possible, because they use an optimal
revolution speed. Other grinders that rotate too fast can
generate excessive heat, thereby compromising the taste and
flavor.
Roasting Coffees at home is easy to do, and you should get the
hang of it after only a few trials and errors. In addition to
being cheaper and more customizable than supermarket varieties,
Roasting Coffees also recaptures some of the romance about this
passion that has been forgotten since the coming of mass coffee
production and large scale advertising.
If you want to really get into roasting your own coffees, you

be much fresher and better tasting if you choose to roast and
grind your own coffees.

As a former lifeguard and fitness trainer, I am no stranger to what it is to daily deal with sexual lust. Though lust can come in many forms, be it financial, material, social or physical, for me physical urges were my primary torment.
Upon continually being carried away repeatedly by my own lusts, I began crying out to God to “deliver me from evil.” I said to God, “Deliver me and I will deliver others.” The Lord replied, “You shall deliver nations.” For this reason my insights are being put in print to deliver the peoples of the earth from diverse lusts and a wayward life.
Deliverance comes in many forms and fashions. For myself Providence has seemingly had deliverance to come to me through the gaining of personal revelatory insight in regard to sexuality and the forces thereof.
Here are 7 Secrets to Overcome Lust and Live a Fulfilling Life.
1. Your body is not you. You are spirit, mind and body. Acknowledge the inner man and totality of your personhood.
2. Keep things in perspective. There is nothing wrong with struggling. It’s when we quit struggling and give in that there is a problem. We all suffer temptation. It’s what you do with the temptation when it arrives.
3. Discipline and bring under your body by daily exercise. Wear your body out through hard work and physical exertion so it won’t be continually bored looking for something, or someone, to do.

7. Think long-term pleasure over immediate gratification. Immediate gratification is often mindless and frequently leads to pain thereafter.
