Diana Vickers has confessed that she would really like to duet with
Cheryl Cole. The ‘Once ‘ frontman, who formerly disclosed that Cole was keen on her music, announced that she doesn’t stay in contact with any of the X Factor judges but was still awfully eager on the concept of a collaboration with her previous coach. She told Metro: “I might like to duet with Cheryl Cole, it might be awesome.” The 19-year-old also made public that she was thankful to the ITV talent program for launching her career and helping her to handle her nerves. “X Factor was the most frightening thing I have ever done in my life however it truly helped me build my confidence and bring me to where I am now,” she announced.
Vickers declined to be drawn on which track from her Songs From The Contaminated Cherry Tree album would be released as her next single. In a different story, Cheryl Cole cousin in Personal computer attack rap. A cousin of pop star Cheryl Cole is charged with breaking a policewoman’s skull. Paul Tweedy, twenty-seven, has appeared in the dock charged with pushing the officer over.

Jason Derulo is expecting to party with Pixie Lott while he’s in the United Kingdom. The Ridin’ Solo vocalist cooperated with the Brit blonde on new song returning home and disclosed to The Daily Star they became good buddies. Jason declared: “When I am getting the likelihood, I need to catch up with her. I’m hoping she will take me to a good London nightspot…But we are just good friends. Honest.”
In a different story, Attractive sun-chaser Pixie Lott could not bear to lose out on the wonderful weekend weather as she stepped out wearing a beautiful, but ever so short, pair of hot pants.

I adore you all sososomuch. ‘ Essex-girl Pixie made a Lott of accolades in her first year, including 4 hit singles, a Top ten album and an MTV Europe Music Award.
She has also got her very own clothing line. Asked to explain her style latterly, Pixie claimed: ‘My style isn’t based totally on any person particularly. My stage style is kind of good fun. ‘When I wear attire or costumes, I like my legs to be free you do not need everything hanging out, but I like to parade my legs. And she actually remained constant to her word in Manchester.

Little Boots has admitted that she found it “scary and hard” when her debut album Hands suffered in the charts.
The record debuted at number five last June but quickly dropped out of the Top 40. However, it has since returned to the chart following the success of second single ‘Remedy’.
“I mean, when it first had a steep drop, it was like, oooooh. I realised it was a fanbase record at that point, as all the fans had gone and bought it and were very loyal,” she told Click Music.
“And then that kind of dropped off. But now, I think, if you look at albums over the last… since it was released, it’s still in the iTunes Top 20. You see that it’s hung around, where a lot of other ones have dropped out and it’s still in there and still selling.
“Even if you suffer a little at first, it’s quite scary and hard, but the fact that it’s hung in there when I’ve seen so many albums just bomb and drop out, I’m really pleased that it’s keeping it consistent and people are still buying it.”
Hands was recently certified gold, having shifted over 100,000 copies in the UK. The record, which is expected to be released in the US next year, has also enjoyed success in Japan and Ireland.
Little Boots recently blasted La Roux singer Elly Jackson for claiming that she “felt sorry” about how her album had been received.

There are both advantages and disadvantages if you want to learn guitar fast online.
The Good
Many of us don’t necessarily want to learn to play the guitar like pros. They just want to learn a few chords to play at campfires and impress their friends or family with their music playing skills. These people are not interested in investing time and money into a more complete learning program, such as private guitar lessons. For them, being able to learn guitar fast online is a great thing.

Even better than just endorsing other companies is trading endorsements. There are several advantages to it. For you, your endorsee would promote you to their clients, and your name would be linked to a successful business. For them, you are a travelling billboard. You cover a lot of territory that those businesses might not have the opportunity or means to market to.
But what happens when no company wants to endorse you? Well, your endorsee would no longer promote you to their clients. BUT, your name could still be linked to that successful business.
This is guerrilla marketing at it’s finest. Find a company you like. We’ll use Coca-Cola as an example. Promote Coke on your fliers and business cards. Tell your fans your favorite drink is Coca-Cola. Drink it at gigs. Give away free Cokes at parties. Whether Coca-Cola sponsors you or not your fans and the public will link your name with guess who …Coca-Cola. Whenever someone drinks a coke, they’ll think of you. Is that powerful marketing or what?
I had a friend who drank Dr. Pepper ALL THE TIME. And to this day, I still think of him when I drink Dr. Pepper. (He doesn’t even touch it anymore).
Now a quick warning before you start adding the Microsoft logo underneath your band name. Logos are copyrighted. “Coke is it” is probably trademarked. This means that you can’t outright put these logos and marketing slogons on your flyers. That’s why I would suggest either stick with endorsing local companies, or be subtle. You really don’t want an expensive lawsuit…(although that is one way to generate lots of publicity;)

“Night and Day” was written by Cole Porter for the 1932 Broadway musical, “The Gay Divorce,” starring Fred Astaire. It was the last Broadway show for Astaire and the last show that he performed with his sister, Adele.
In 1934 Hollywood produced a film version of the Broadway musical, retitled, “The Gay Divorcee.” The Hays Office, Hollywood’s self-censorship body, determined that the original title was too controversial. The film starred Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers in their first leading roles together.
“Night and Day” was the only Cole Porter musical number used from the Broadway production. As a footnote, one of the film’s big production numbers, “The Continental,” by Conrad and Magidson, won the Academy Award for Best Song that year.
In 1946 a film was made about Cole Porter’s life, called “Night and Day.” The biography, starring Cary Grant as a heroic and heterosexual Cole Porter, was not accurate in detail or character, but Porter did not object.
Cole Porter was born in Indiana in 1891 to parents who were wealthy. He received an extensive musical education, learning the piano and the violin by age six. His favorite of the two was the piano which he practiced two hours daily. By age ten he was writing words and music to original songs, and by age seventeen he published his first song.
Porter also received an impressive academic education which carried him through Yale and into Harvard Law School and the Harvard School of Music. While at Yale, Porter became the president of the Glee Club and a cheer leader, and, among the 300 songs he wrote while at Yale, he wrote two football fight songs that are still played today. Despite being the roommate of Dean Acheson, the future Secretary of State under President Truman, Porter dropped out of Harvard Law School to continue with his music education.
After World War I, Porter moved to Europe where he met and married Linda Lee Thomas, a beautiful and rich divorcee and a descendant of the Lees of Virginia. Their relationship was a loving, supportive, lifelong partnership. Cole Porter was gay and had numerous male interests which Linda had agreed to allow. However, the marriage was at times unstable when Porter’s gay interests threatened the couple’s carefully maintained social appearances.
Following their marriage in 1919 in Paris, the Porters lived an extravagant lifestyle in Europe through the 1920’s. Their palatial home in Paris had floor to ceiling mirrors and zebra skin upholstery. Later, they moved into a famous palace in Venice where their lush parties included fifty gondoliers, circus acrobats, and a ballet company. They also built a night club outside their palace which accommodated 100 guests.
Back in New York, Porter’s first few contributions to Broadway musicals were poorly received. However, by the end of the 1920’s Porter gained recognition, and through the 1930’s and 1940’s he was one of the brightest stars on Broadway. He worked excessively and tirelessly on his musical productions and spent time in both New York and Hollywood.
In 1937 a terrible horse riding accident crushed both of Porter’s legs. As the story goes, while waiting for hours for help to arrive he composed the lyrics to a verse of his song, “At Long Last Love.” The accident left him crippled and in pain for the rest of his life. He underwent more than 30 leg operations until his right leg was finally amputated in 1958. Following his leg amputation, Cole Porter dropped out of music production until his death in 1964.
Porter said that the stimulus for the ballad, “Night and Day,” was his memory of hearing distant tom toms while cruising down the Nile River in Egypt.
“Night and Day” was sung by Fred Astaire to Ginger Rogers in the film, “The Gay Divorcee.” The romantic lyrics of Cole Porter and the lovely dance of Astaire and Rogers combine to create one of Hollywood’s most memorable moments.
